WHO ARE WE?

We are a political alliance made up of groups concerned with Human Rights, Indigenous Rights, Environmental Issues, Workers Rights, Free Trade Agreements and Globalization, and more.  Some of the groups involved but not limited to this collective are the American Indian Movement of Colorado, The All Nations Alliance, The Transform Columbus Day Alliance, The Dandelion Center, The Longmont Citizens for Justice and Democracy and other unnamed affinity groups.

We all have a stake in stopping Newmont Mining Corporation’s destructive practices!  We are requesting groups from across the country to join us in solidarity on April 25th in Denver, Colorado, the day of their annual stockholders meeting, for a mass action in the streets in order to stop Newmont.  We have all been to globalization protest around the world, challenging organizations and trade agreements that open the opportunity for destruction of Indigenous communities, workers rights, natural resources and more.   Now we are pointing a finger at certain corporations that need and use these agreements and organizations to do just that!  It is time to put a face on the efforts to open the world communities resources to privatization and globalization and that face is Newmont!
